Our Story
It all started at the gym. The first time Garrett saw Sonya, he couldn't stop looking at her. Then, she looked back, and for a moment, it felt like the whole world stood still. From that day on, they found themselves working out side by side, somehow always matching, stealing glances, and finding little ways to be near each other. Eventually, Garrett found his moment, waiting by the door to hold it open for her and from that simple gesture, everything changed.
What started at the gym quickly became so much more. Sonya became Garrett's best friend, his biggest supporter, and the person who challenged him to become a better version of himself. Between pushing each other in the gym, trying new foods, discovering new places, and making memories together, they built a love that made them both better. Sonya brought out a side of Garrett he never knew existed, opening his mind to new experiences and showing him a whole new world. She was everything he wasn't, he was everything she wasn't, and together, they just made sense.
Their adventurous side became clear one day when Sonya casually asked Garrett at the gym, “You want to go to Rome tomorrow?” Without hesitation, he said yes. By 4 a.m. the next morning, they were on their way to Italy, beginning an unforgettable adventure and a tradition of making the most of every moment together.
Fast-forward to Banff National Park, surrounded by breathtaking mountains and the kind of scenery Sonya had always dreamed of. Garrett had a custom ring made just for her and even machined a ring box himself. With a hidden photographer waiting to capture the moment, he suggested a walk before dinner to a beautiful lake that remained unfrozen. With the mountains standing tall behind them and everything feeling almost unreal, Garrett got down on one knee and asked Sonya to spend forever with him. And, of course, she said yes.
From a look across the gym floor to a lifetime of adventures ahead, their story has always been about finding something neither of them knew they were missing. Now, they can't wait to begin their greatest adventure yet… marriage.
